Pull it in various directions and make a note of how the text becomes funhouse-style elongated in various ways, to judge which look you might like best for your text distortion.Ĭlick another corner, but this time drag towards the middle, to make the text appear slightly squished. Note that the text on the canvas is surrounded by a border with small white boxes around it.Ĭlick and pull one of the corner boxes out away from the text, such as toward a corner of the Photoshop work area. Right-click the new text layer on the list, symbolized by a “T” icon and the words you just typed, and select “Rasterize Layer.” The box with the “T” icon turns into a gray and white checkerboard.Ĭlick the Edit menu and hover the cursor over "Transform." Choose "Distort" from the fly-out menu. Note that when you type, the text will appear in its normal, non-distorted format. Click the canvas and type the text to distort. If you do not see the Tools panel, click the Window menu and choose "Tools." When the Type toolbar opens, choose a font, text size and color to use for the distorted text.
